Sponsorship of The California Fire Museum
The California Fire Museum has been
accepted as a priority program to be included in the Orange County
Great Park (OCGP) and will soon undergo a feasibility study by
the Great Park Design Studio. We are also in discussions regarding
the use of a former El Toro Marine Base (MCAS) building or space
to build a building in the soon-to-be Great Park museum district.
We hope to obtain an existing building to house our fire museum
for a five to ten year minimal cost lease to minimize our start-up
cost.
To do this, we must show the OCGP we will have enough funding
to cover operating expenses. We will also need major corporate
sponsors to help fund the conversion of the building to a first-class
fire museum. We are looking for a building with about twenty to
thirty thousand square feet - something with enough space to display
a minimum of 14 fire apparatus, plus room for offices, storage,
meeting rooms, displays and exhibits.
Funding for operating expenses will come from indoor fire apparatus
storage fees, banquet facility rentals, merchandise sales, memberships
and fund-raising events. However, this still leaves us with needed
funds to convert the building to a fire museum and banquet facility.
We will also need to construct fire safety exhibits and historical
displays. This is where you can help us with a donation of funds
or materials.
Please read over the attached sponsorship
page list of items we would like to accomplish. With your
help, we will have the funding needed to secure the building to
make the California Fire Museum / Public Safety Education Center
a reality.
At this time we are looking for donation of funds or you may chose
a segment and pledge your support to show that we will have the
funding needed once the building is granted to us.
If you have any questions about our fire museum, safety center,
or how you can support our worthy cause, please feel free to contact
us at any time.
Thank you,
Don Croucher
